Quotes in one spreadsheet, job cards in a WhatsApp group, bookings in someone's head. We build the tool that replaces all three - a web app your team can use from any device, shaped around how your business actually works.
It rarely breaks all at once. It is the same information typed into three places, the one person who understands the master sheet going on leave, the quote that went out on last year's prices, and the customer asking for an update nobody can give without phoning around.
None of that is a people problem. It is a tooling problem, and it is usually cheaper to solve than the hours it quietly costs every week.
Web apps that run in a browser on any device - a job-card system for a field team, a quoting tool that pulls live prices, a booking system with your own rules, a stock tracker that knows what is on the van.
Client portals, so the people you work for can log in, see where their job is, download their documents and pay their invoices without emailing you to ask.
Internal dashboards that pull the numbers you currently assemble by hand onto one screen, and desktop and automation tools for the jobs that do not belong in a browser. We built our own batch mailbox-migration dashboard to move client email between servers, because doing it one mailbox at a time did not scale.
It starts with a scoping call about the process, not the software: who does what, where the information comes from and where it needs to go. From that you get a fixed quote and a written list of exactly what the first version does.
You see a working version early and it grows from there, rather than disappearing for three months and arriving as a surprise. We build with AI-assisted tooling, which is a large part of why custom software is now realistic on a small-business budget.
You own the code, the data and the accounts at the end. No licence that lapses if you leave.
The studio's own products are the best evidence of how we build. POPIA Ready generates compliance documents for South African businesses and takes payment through PayFast. PluginLyzer runs AI security audits on WordPress plugins for developers worldwide. Spreadli is a Chrome extension with free and paid plans.
All three are live and all three are ours to maintain - so the admin screens, billing and support side get built properly, because we are the ones who have to live with them.
Our own products - live, taking payment and maintained by us.

It is always quoted per project, because the range is genuinely wide - a single-purpose internal tool and a multi-user platform with client logins are different builds. We scope it on a free call and give you a fixed price before any work starts.
It depends on scope, and you get dated milestones with the quote. Most focused tools take weeks rather than months, and you will be using a working version long before the final one.
Usually a web app: nothing to install, works on phones and laptops, one version for everyone. Desktop makes sense when the tool has to work offline, talk to local files or hardware, or run heavy jobs on your own machine. We recommend one during scoping and explain why.
Usually, yes. If a system has an API - most accounting, payment, email and CRM platforms do - we can connect to it. We check this during scoping, before we quote, so it is not a surprise halfway through.
You do. The code, the data and the hosting accounts are handed over at the end of the project. If you want us to host and support it afterwards we can, but nothing is locked to us.
If the software stores personal information - customer details, staff records, ID numbers - it has to be built for POPIA from the start: access controls, what is kept and for how long, and how someone's data is found and deleted on request. We build that in, and we sell POPIA compliance documents ourselves, so it is not an afterthought.
