Flamingo Place
A residential complex in The Wilds Estate, Pretoria, with a website doing two jobs at once: presenting the development publicly, and giving existing residents a private place to get documents and news.
The brief
Estate and body-corporate websites almost always start as a brochure and then quietly become an admin tool, because the trustees discover that emailing the same levy form to forty households every quarter is unsustainable.
Flamingo Place needed both from the start: a public face for prospective residents and visitors, and a members-only area where the paperwork lives.
What we built
A register-and-login layer over an otherwise public site, so residents get a forms and downloads library and estate news without that content being exposed to the open web.
The public side keeps a gallery and the development information, which is what a prospective buyer or tenant arrives looking for. The two audiences never have to wade through each other's content.
The brand runs on a single strong colour against black, applied consistently from the entrance signage through to the site - so the website looks like the place you drove past.
Why it works
Moving documents behind a login is not only tidier, it is the correct handling under POPIA for anything containing resident information. A public downloads folder is a compliance problem waiting to be noticed.
